This program also introduces students to advanced aircraft concepts, systems, navigation, and performance to help them in their future interviews and airline training. This involves all aspects of flying an aircraft with various levels of automation. Students in the Jet Transition Program will have the opportunity to fly a Cessna Citation CE-500. Students may enroll in the Jet transition course after the completion of their Commercial Multi-Engine Rating. The course includes a two-day ground school and five hours in the jet.
Additional hours are available upon request. Upon completion of the course, students earn a Second in Command (SIC) Certification.
Air Traffic Control Communication Class
CFA students also complete an extensive Air Traffic Control (ATC) course that is designed to give them proficient ATC language skills, along with the control tower communication skills required by government safety regulations.
